DESCRIPTION:Need a relationship boost? Sometimes the change we are looking for comes about when we are working through our experiences together.  Sharing space with other couples may seem daunting\, but in fact disperses the feelings of aloneness in our relationship struggles.  Together\, we unify our relationship experiences\, and create opportunity for positive change. \nCARES is an exclusive\, small group experience just for couples.  Each week\, CARES will weave theory\, experiential process\, sharing and celebration.   It is the only group of its type in Australia and is led by international educator and leading Couples Therapists Sean Tonnet.   \nCARES is an acronym for Communication\, Attachment\, Relationship meaning\, Emotions & Sexuality.  The group is a 5 x Week Program\, shared with 5 x Couples\, covering the 5 x CARE themes of functional relationships.  \nCommunication ~ understanding your communication styles and practice healthier and effective communication strategies with your partner \nAttachment ~ explore underlying attachment patterns that drive most adult relationship dynamics.  Build more relationship understanding and minimise conflict \nRelationship Meaning ~ recalibrate and refresh the shared meaning of relationship.  This is an important guide for letting go of the past and building for the future. \nEmotions ~ build more emotional intelligence in relationships\,  one of the most sort after requests from partners.  Recognise the role emotions play in connection. \nSexuality:  A delicate and confidential inquiry into sexual intimacy in relationships.  Creating opportunity for discovery\, playfulness and understanding.  Clothes on of course. \nMARCH 2022 \nWhen: Every Monday 7th March to 4th April\nTime: 6.00pm – 8.30pm\nWhere: Thrive Clinic in the Coolamon (Group) Room -138 Dalley Street\, Mullumbimby\nCost: $750 Per couple *First Group Premium Discount ($150/week) \nMAY 2022 \nWhen: Every Monday 2nd May to 30th May\nTime: 6.00pm – 8.30pm\nWhere: Thrive Clinic in the Coolamon (Group) Room -138 Dalley Street\, Mullumbimby\nCost: $850 Per couple *2nd Group Discount ($170/week) \n*Further groups are likely to be schedule for June and August. \nTo inquire or to book your place around any CARES groups please email me: connect@seantonnet.com.au or phone me directly on 0415 919 123. \nImportant Information:  Prior to commencement\, each couple will need to undertake a short 10 – 15 minute intake process via phone or zoom to assess suitability.   \nThe CARES group will not be appropriate for couples experiencing domestic violence\, certain types of addictions or acute mental health.

SUMMARY:Couple and Family Therapy
DESCRIPTION:This training is for Year Four Students of Gestalt Therapy Brisbane only.\n\n\n\n\nThe weekend training forms part of the 2020 curriculum and studies supporting students to develop skills to work therapeutically with couples and families. Over the weekend\, students will learn about the systemic nature of couple & family therapy\, acquiring skills in working with the interactional patterns and cycle of relationships. \nDuring the training\, students will be given the opportunity to work with ‘real’ couples and role plays\, as well as see a demonstration from the presenter.
