Loving What Is: An Introduction to the Work of Byron Katie
July 22, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
| $25.00The Work is a simple and powerful process that allows us to identify and question our beliefs that are causing the stress and suffering in our life. It is a meditative practice that can bring profound shifts in perspective. The result is more freedom, love and open mind to see a way out.
We spend most of our day thinking about what is wrong and what should be different. How life should be different, how our partner should be different. For example: he should be more respectful, she should understand me, my children should behave differently, people should be kinder … What we believe about others brings us pain. We hopelessly try to change people around us believing this will bring us what we want. Instead frustration and tension is the result. It is the opposite of freedom.
In this introduction to The Work you will be able to experience this process for yourself. We will guide you through the process of identifying your thoughts, question them and turn them around.
Byron Katie quote: “I am a lover of what is, not because I’m a spiritual person, but because it hurts when I argue with reality.”
